Is Simply Sand Play HIPAA compliant?

Simply Sand Play does not collect any personal health information therefore there is no data that needs to be HIPAA compliant. Simply Sand Play does require someone with a subscription to login but that person is the therapist, not the client. The login credentials are only used to verify that the user has an active subscription.

Will Simply Sand Play work on every computer?

There are multiple ways in which Simply Sand Play can be accessed. (using Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Firefox browsers; installable version for Windows PCs or Macs; iOS app for Ipads/Iphones) so the chances are very good that it will work on most devices. We cannot guarantee that every device will run Simply Sand Play because some devices may simply be too old.

How will internet speed affect Simply Sand Play?

The Simply Sand Tray browser version works by being loaded into the computer’s browser memory. Slow internet speed will affect the initial loading of the environment but once it is loaded it no longer needs the internet to run. If the internet connection goes down your work will not be interrupted and you can continue to create your sandtray. However, slow internet speeds can affect your screen sharing session and may cause some lag in the application. We offer an installable version for Windows PCs and Macs. This version does not rely on the internet at all except for verifying the passcode to enter the program.

What screen sharing platforms do you recommend for Simply Sand Play?

We recommend any platform that allows the client to access the SSP application on their own computer while sharing their screen with the therapist. There are certain tele-health platforms that may only allow the therapist to give the client control of the therapist’s computer. This is not the optimal way to use SSP but it is an option.

What age groups can benefit from Simply Sand Play?

Any age that can use a mouse or touchpad will be able to easily create their sandbox “world”. Children as young as five are able to use Simply Sand Play with minimal instruction.

What kinds of items are included in Simply Sand Play?

We have over 400 items available in eight different categories: Animals, Buildings, Fantasy, Nature, Spiritual, People, Vehicles and Assorted. New items will be added in future updates based on customer feedback.

How do I cancel my subscription, update my credit card or change my password or email address?

Log in to your account using the login icon on the navigation bar at simplysandplay.com. After you are logged in click on the navigation bar where it says “Hi, ______” next to “Log out”. What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds due to the fact that we offer a free trial period. The free trial period allows users enough time to fully test the application before any charge is made.
